Passionate Coaching Professional

Alberto has a passion to inspire, empower and motivate people through coaching and mentoring.
Coaching helps people unlock their potential, explore possibilities outside of themselves, and in turn help them maximize their performance.
Alberto believes that, amongst other, coaching is an effective instrument to assist in the upliftment and empowerment of communities through the development of business projects and young entrepreneurs, using the medium of smart technology as a business enabler.

Coaching assists in developing competent habits to become a highly effective person.

Previous Background

Alberto is an accredited Business Coach and holds a BSc (Eng) Mech (Wits) with with 40+ years background industry experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, IT Systems Integration & Smart Tech solutions. He has developed considerable skills in Product Development, Sales & Business Development, General & Executive Management, including Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring in latter years.


He has worked locally and overseas (8 years) for small and large corporate companies, including CSIR (2 years), Nissan Manufacturing (10 years) and recently for the ALTRON Group (11 years) as a Business Development Executive in IT Systems Integration and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including smart IoT technologies and Predictive Analytics.

From a business perspective Alberto has also been an entrepreneur, a director of 3 companies and worked in senior management. 


Coaching Work Experience 

Having mentored throughout his professional engineering career, Alberto completed the ALTRON Coaching and Mentoring training course in 2016 to provide mentoring and coaching assistance with the young graduates Business Development Internship programme which spanned over a 2-year period.


Upon retiring from corporate life in 2019 he then completed his accreditation training  programme as a Business Coach through the SA Business Coaches school and started his coaching practice soon after.

He has coached Business Owners and young Entrepreneurs in various industry sectors, in particular for the Redefine Properties Innovation Challenge, Enterprise Development coaching for the City of Joburg Opportunity Centres (Pro Bono), plus Performance and Strategy Coaching assignments in sectors such as Systems Integration, Health & Wellness, Professional Services, Marketing, Food Supply Chain and ICT sectors.


He has also worked extensively with NPO’s and in particular, team coaching with the international Venice Resilience Lab on their Strategy & Implementation Development programme.

Furthermore, due to his years of experience in volunteer community development work, he also focusses on coaching for transformational initiatives involving SMME Enterprise Development and young entrepreneurs.

Change management is an on-going process whereby the current state (comprised of people, processes, and systems) is determined to be inadequate. Change management involves recognizing the need to change (why will the status quo not suffice?), identifying what needs to be changed (what processes, systems, and roles are impacted?), communicating details of the change to the affected role, gaining commitment from their reporting chain, soliciting their feedback (with the objective of generating the desire to change), providing training prior to the change and support during the change period, and finally, closing the loop by reviewing the results of the change to make sure the desired outcome was achieved and correcting as necessary.

Coaching accelerates this process and assists in integrating in a sustainable way, the roleplayers, the systems and the expectations at play (both stated and unstated).
